What’s up!
I’m Sam Christian. An Artist and Educator based in Richmond, VA. After earning a BA in Theatre and Sociology from Emory and Henry College in 2019, I came on home and I’ve been blending performance with mixed media fiber and printmaking to work through topics of Afro-futurism, black joy and the surrealism found in dreams.
My work is about me. How my grandmother shaped me. How my body moves and changes. It’s about community. The community we’re building. The community we’re dreaming of and the one being kept from us.
